This tin features 4 lightly smoked mackerel fillets packed in olive oil. Beautiful presentation with completely intact skin (well, until I scratched it when taking it out). There's a noticeable fishy smell but not unpleasant. The meat is firm but not dry. There's bone present but it's soft & crunchy which adds some textural interest.
I used the olive oil in a garlicky vinaigrette to top a sort of nicoise salad (ran out of eggs unfortunately). Very nice light meal.
