Saw this at Costco and had to try it. I’m sure it’ll elevate the instant cup noodles or something

I wish I lived near a Costco store.

Tell me how it went, I’ve eyed this at Costco before

I had this idea years ago while browsing the soup isle. I was thinking I could filch just the veggies and stuff if I bought the dried soup mix pouches or something. Going to give this a try!

I’m curious if these freeze dried toppings add to the soup

  5. Funny enough, when I eat a cup noodle the first thing I do is pour out the toppings. I just like the noodles and broth.

Ramen is just the in word they stick on anything now, just like Kimchi and Protein. Most of it is rubbish instant food.

I wasn’t a fan of it, it gave my ramen weird taste.

I get freeze dried “ ramen “vegetables for my instant ramen. It has cabbage, carrots, corn, mushrooms, and I believe seaweed. I add a 1/4 cup to my ramen each time. I’ll throw in an egg and for my Shin Black I have small chunks of grilled beef (from Costco ) or grilled chicken ( from Costco ) to add to my Shin Gold. The ramen veggies I get from Amazon.

  9. I found this mix to be too fish forward for my liking

I like it as a cheap and easy way to add more ‘sustenance’ to an otherwise nutritionally ambiguous food how ever i found the kombu over powered and altered the flavor of the ramen more then i would have liked.
If they omitted the kombu i think it would have been a knock out.

I don’t trust that it’s gourmet just because it says gourmet

We don’t have this one in Taiwan, but there are lots of companies that sell ramen topping. Some are quite good!

There was a post a month or two about a website that sells ramen topping. Let me see if I can dig it up.

Edit: whoops, someone posted it already, Ramen Bae. I’d also suggest checking Asian markets, I love buying dried seaweed and narutomaki to mix stuff myself.

I’ll second everyone’s fish forward statements. And I’ll add: don’t forget to add extra water for the bits to rehydrate. They’ll drink up your soup and you’ll have dry ramen.

    Absolutely unnecessary.

The more healthier and cheaper version is simply:
    – spinach
    – chives
    – spring onions (you can grow these yourself easily too)

If you need meat and still lazy, just use cured ham like ones you use for ham sandwich.

Ramen bae makes the superior topping. The kimchi one is amazing
