Hello r/FoodLosAngeles!

I made a bit of a mistake, I spent too long working on recipe tests for a dessert and ran out of time to get ready for Saturday, but I will still be open Sunday. Sorry for the mistake!! But I am working on some incredible desserts that fit the theme of being very affordable, aiming for a $1 to $3 price tag for a high quality dessert (handmade double fold bourbon vanilla extract, deep fried in good quality oil – when fried – little steps to increase flavor without increasing cost, like browning the butter and some other fun tricks)

The food:

I call them "LA Cheesesteaks", smoked beef short rib, smoked and confit beef cheeks, onions, bell peppers, garlic and cheddar cheese on fresh baked, handmade rolls, with a handmade beef jus dipping sauce for $10, or 2 for $18. I have chips for $1, I had to sacrifice the space for sodas, for more room for sandwiches. I will hopefully soon figure out how to pack another cooler for drinks.

Dessert:

Chocolate Chip Cookies: browned butter, toasted flour, chocolate chip, topped with black Hawaiian lava salt, flavored with handmade double fold bourbon vanilla extract, cookies – $1

Location:

Sunday: We will be at my usual location on Hollywood Blvd and N Berendo across from Barnsdall Art Park from 12 to 6 (or until we sell out, but with my new technique for the bread, I will have far more sandwiches than I have had recently)

Insta:/Big_Beautiful_BBQ (no politics behind the name, I made the name before the similarly named bill)
