Today we’re making Thanksgiving dinner in the crock pot. Not really, but we are making turkey in the crock pot, which you could also make for Thanksgiving dinner. This recipe is so easy. Minimal ingredients. So, first off, you’re going to need a three lb turkey breast. Make sure it’s thawed. And then we’re going to pop that right into the crock pot. The turkey comes with a netting on it. And you want to leave that on. See how mine’s like already falling apart? I accidentally snipped it when I was opening the package. Leave it on. Next, we’re going to spread two tablespoons of butter all over. And I’m sprinkling over some sage powder and mustard powder. Onion soup mix. I’m not adding any salt because there’s plenty of salt in the soup mix. Half a cup of orange juice. One can of whole berry cranberry sauce. Just dump that right in. The last thing is 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup. The orange juice and the maple syrup will offset the tartness of the cranberries. So, don’t worry about that. Cook this on low for 4 to 5 hours until the turkey is done. When it’s finished, we’re going to make the gravy. So, strain those juices into a saucepan and then we’re going to add a little cornstarch slurry to it. Bring it to a boil, whisk constantly until the gravy is thickened and pour it over your turkey slices. It’s so juicy and so flavorful from that cranberry sauce. Turkey dinner anytime you want it.
