Hot Dr. Pepper! βοΈπ has anyone ever had hot Dr. Pepper for the holidays?
This could be either really, really good or pretty terrible! Has anyone ever tried this?

I’ve never had this, but i’m interested to see if it’s worth trying hot Dr Pepper with a lemon slice…

My sister-in-law introduced us to this in the 1960s. I remember it was pretty good, but keep in mind I was about five years old.

Not for the holidays, but when I was a kid, I got hot Dr Pepper when I was home sick with a cold/strep/anything but a stomach bug (that was room temperature ginger ale)

It used to have prune juice in it as one of the ingredients so I dunno, maybe? I will definitely try it.

Drank a hot-ish Dr. Pepper because I was thirsty and found a can in my car. I was shocked by how much I didn’t hate it. Have drank it hot-ish many times since, less embarrassed about it now. I could see a lemon in it.

I think Max Miller did a βDrinking Historyβ episode with this, no?

(If anyone enjoys Alicia Silverstone, Christopher Walken, Sissy Spacek and/or Brendan Frazier – y’all need to watch Blast From the Past.Β
Not for the holidays, but when I’ve had bronchitis or pneumonia, I’ve had it. I really like lemon, so I’ll add lemon juice or cut up a whole lemon and add that.

Never drank it hot but I used to use it to marinate then cook my ribs in.

I drank a hot Dr. Pepper that had been sitting in my car on a 100 degree day, purely out of thirsty desperation. I did not enjoy it.

I bet it would be good with the lemon. Maybe a cinnamon stick.Β
[Max Miller of Tasting/Drinking history did a video on this very drink](https://youtu.be/fb-58KobeFU?si=i6lF3neN7xR7GwNJ)
But also cups for 2.50…
I tried some recently, it’s pretty good
