As a congratulations to my self for eating mostly healthy and exercising all week I picked up a tin of these at $10.99 – which is kind of ridiculous.

I heated the tin up, after opening, on top of the toaster to melt the butter.

This was my first exploration into butter packed sardines. All I can say is wow! These are absolutely phenomenal. 4 large sardines packed in the can. Nice texture, mild salty buttery taste. 9.997/10. I would do again, and again, and again but not at that price – these will have to be an occasional item.

If you come across these French sardines with butter I recommend u try them:

FERRIGNO LA BONNE MER SARDINES IN BUTTER WITH PERSILLADE (GARLIC AND PARSLEY)

They also make one with butter and salt

You can just shove the whole unopened tin into a bowl of hot water to warm it up.

But yeah, love that tin, do wish it were more affordable but I’m just glad somebody makes a butter tin with really high quality fish that isn’t too insane.

Based on your photos I have extracted a probably-would-try from my sardine-averse, butter-lovin’ husband.
