Ugly? What are you talking about. If that’s ugly to you, better ship them over to me. I’ll take care of it.

I bought some onigiri forms and make them a lot now; they are still the best way to get rice into my daughter. Also, they toast very well.

Very good 😯 I can’t even make the triangular shape 😔

Honestly, it’s one of the better shaping I’ve seen on this sub. Nice job. My only advice would be to try to keep the filling more towards the center so you don’t have stuff sticking out the side. That’s less about the looks and more for structural integrity.

What?? This isn’t ugly at all. You used a mold, right? It looks perfect!

Looks good! But might I suggest doing a blob of rice, making a well in the center to put your fillings and then another blob of rice over that and then shaping the rice ball? Don’t think if them like a sandwich which it seems like happened here?(I see rice and then a thin line of what looks like spread filling? and then more rice.)

You want to try to contain everything inside the ball so your hands don’t get too messy!

Looks great. Did you use nori snack or oiled nori to wrap it? That’s not traditional but probably tasty.
