As Thanksgiving week begins, Birmingham communities are expressing gratitude for generous food donations. At Tom Brown Village, the Cigar Men of Distinction hosted a Thanksgiving food drive, providing 60 families with turkeys, greens and all the fixings for a holiday meal.
Meanwhile, at North Birmingham Homes, the Mario Addison Community Partnership, in collaboration with local organizations, distributed groceries to 300 families. This marks the ninth year of the partnership’s efforts to give back.
Mario Addison, a former North Birmingham resident and retired NFL player, aimed to ensure his hometown community had the necessary resources.
The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District expressed gratitude for the organizations and partners who have worked tirelessly to support residents this season.
