The Hameau de Blagny was the star for value, but damn the Chevalier was special.

  1. What an insane evening.

The Chevalier montrachet was gorgeous. Bright and acidic but with a beautiful backbone of tingly Minerality that was somehow absorbed by the perfect integration of oak. Some salinity, but not too much as I often struggle with working in Greek fine dining. Not as razor sharp as I expected (this is my first time fasting Chevalier so maybe that’s on me). This is why we lose our sh** over burgundy.

The Clavoillon was, as always, very nice. Well balanced and the perfect amount of silky smooth with acidity for a premier cru. Exactly what you want it to be every time imo.

The Hameau de Blagny drank almost like a restrained chassange grand cru. Whatever oak lucien le moine is using is a stroke of genius. Not sure how they get such a bright fresh wine out of puligny, but I’d encourage anyone who is a chassange grand cru fan to reach for a bottle of this.

What brand of forklift do you use to lift the Lucien bottle?
