I know how it sounds……..

Bottom pan: costco butter chicken sauce, chicken broth (used to shake container and empty allll the sauce out.).

Potatoes to cook in sauce.

Over the top:

3 chicken breasts over the top (SPG sprayed with oil)

Smoked at 375F with charcoal and plenty of cherry wood in a MB800.

Chicken shredded in to the sauce at 160F, cooked until potatoes were done.

Id normally not post such a simple meal, but this was amazing and id make it again. The smoke melds with the butter chicken sauce in an amazing way you probably wouldnt expect.

I love this idea! Been thinking of doing something similar with Ethiopian food.

I’ve been seeing lots of posts recently about smoking meat over the sauce. Might have to try it. Yours looks amazing.

Alright. F it. I’m gonna try it. Have to go to Costco tomorrow anyway.

This looks great. We make tikka masala a lot at our house and never thought about trying it in the smoker. Could consider marinating the chicken in the yogurt/spice mix to take it to the next level
