Welcome to Kenton’s videos. Enjoy the video. In this video, I will show you how to make a delicious capray pasta salad. Start by cooking 8 oz of your favorite pasta like rotini or pen until it’s perfectly al dent. This usually takes about 8 to 10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta thoroughly and rinse it under cold water. This step is crucial to stop the cooking process and prevent the pasta from becoming mushy. Then transfer the cooled pasta to a large mixing bowl ready for the next delicious ingredients. Next, let’s prepare our fresh ingredients. Take one pint of vibrant cherry or grape tomatoes and have them. This makes them easier to enjoy in every bite. Then, slice 8 oz of fresh mozzarella balls into small bite-sized pieces. Finally, roughly chop about 1/4 cup of fragrant fresh basil leaves. These three ingredients are the heart of our capray salad, bringing incredible flavor and color. Now for the simple yet flavorful dressing. In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of good quality olive oil with 2 tablespoons of rich balsamic glaze. Add one tablespoon of red wine vinegar to give it a lovely tangy kick. Finish by seasoning the dressing with about 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and freshly ground black pepper. This dressing will perfectly complement the fresh ingredients, tying all the flavors together beautifully. It’s time to bring everything together. Add your have cherry tomatoes, sliced fresh mozzarella, and chopped basil to the bowl with the cooled pasta. Pour the delicious balsamic dressing evenly over all the ingredients. Gently toss everything together until every piece of pasta and every ingredient is coated in that wonderful dressing.
