I followed a fellow redditor’s recipe and was pleased! I do think next time I will NOT use 1 tbsp cafe bustelo and instead use 1/2 tbsp because the ice cream ended up tasting like an amazing coffee ice cream with a hint of fernet.
Recipe I used: https://www.reddit.com/r/icecreamery/s/tx74n4FWbp
And yes I did use 7 tbsp of fernet and added a little fernet to my glass as well when serving

What does fernet taste like? Google says floral but like is there an actual food to compare it to? I’m trying to imagine what this is like
We were given fernet in Italy when you had indigestion and that was literally the bottom of a glass in amount. The adults had more or less half a shot glass full.
Can’t imagine having ice cream this flavour
This is really cool! I don’t like fernet, but it’s a big deal in my country. People drink it with Coca Cola (like 30% fernet, 70% Coke). Might be interesting to play with a fernet cream and maybe a Coke caramel swirl? Thanks for the inspo!
When I was little in Korea, they would shoot a liquid into your nose when you were congested. Totally forgot about it. Over a decade later, I had my first fernet and immediately was reminded of the stuff they shot up my nose. Not suggesting putting fernet up your nose. Just smelled very similar.
