kofte Kababs and Potatoes with Tahini yogurt sauce || Oven Baked Kofte Kabab Recipe – RKC
Sheet pan Köfte Kababs and Potatoes with Tahini Yogurt is one of the easiest dinners you can make. It comes together easily and is so good! It’s delicious and Very easy to prepare, am Sure you’re going to love it.
These super juicy kofta Kababs are the perfect centrepiece for a Middle Eastern-style feast. Served with a yogurt Tahini Sauce.
Ingredients:
Prepare Kofta Kebab:
Minced beef 2 lb
Onion 1 medium, chopped finely
Breadcrumbs 1/4 Cup
garlic powder – 1 tsp
Paprika powder 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Black pepper powder ½ tsp
Chili flakes 1 tsp
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
One bunch of Coriander and parsley leaves
Mix it well until well combined
Tahini Yogurt Sauce:
Thick yogurt 1 Cup
Cream 2 tbsp
Tahini paste 3 tbsp
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Cumin seed powder 1/4 tsp
Red chili crushed 1 tsp
Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Directions
* Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and Brush with the olive oil.
* Tip: For the crispiest potatoes, brush the baking sheet with olive oil.
* In the meantime, in a large bowl, stir together the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, coriander,mint and parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper until well combined.
* Shape into oval shaped koftas and set aside.
* Notes- To achieve even more flavor from the köfte, you can prepare the mixture a day ahead and place it in the fridge until ready to bake.
Shape the koftas. Get a large plate ready. Wet your hands (this makes it easier to form the koftas without the mix sticking to your hands). Take a small quantity of the mixture, and form into a small oval shape in your hands. Pop on the plate and repeat with the remaining mixture.
In a bowl add 1 tbsp tomato paste , 1/4 cup water, 2 tbsp olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. Whisk it well. Set aside.
20 baby potatoes washed and cleaned well. Slice into half and toss it well with 3 tbsp tomato paste mixture. Transfer to a baking dish and bake it 400F for 20 min.
Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and add the koftas among the potatoes, in an even layer. You can add some cherry tomatoes and capsicum
Return to the oven and bake for another 30 minutes or until the koftas are golden and cooked through.
Alternatively, you can pan-fry the koftas.
Make the tahini yogurt sauce. Add ½ a cup of yogurt, 2 tablespoons tahini, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and ½ teaspoon of salt to a small bowl 1 tsp of garlic powder. Mix vigorously with a fork until a smooth, creamy sauce forms. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, tahini lemon juice, salt, cumin powder,pepper, garlic powder and chili flakes until smooth.
Once the koftas are fully cooked and the potatoes have softened and are golden brown and crispy, then carefully remove the from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
Pour tahini yogurt sauce onto serving platter and spread out evenly. Top with the roasted potatoes and köfte. Top with pine nuts and parsley.
Serve the koftas. Remove the skillet from the oven. To serve, spoon the yogurt tahini sauce onto a serving plate, then layer on the koftas. Finish with the optional garnishes of parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!

For this recipe, I’m using minced beef, 2 lbs. Onion, one finely chopped coriander and mint leaves. Breadcrumbs/4 cup chili flakes 1 teaspoon pepper powder 1 teaspoon. Onion powder 1 teaspoon. Garlic powder 1 teaspoon. Baking soda/4 teaspoon. Paprika powder 1 tbspoon. Salt to your taste. Turmeric powder half teaspoon. Mix it well until everything combine together. [Music] To get more flavor from the kofa, you can even prepare the mixture a day ahead and place it in the fridge until it’s ready to bake. Baby potatoes, washed and clean, and then cut it into half. Tomato paste 1 tbspoon. Water/4 cup or adjust. Olive oil 2 tbspoon. Pepper powder half teaspoon. Salt to your taste. Whisk it well and set aside. [Music] Add two to three tablespoons of the tomato paper paste we made and mix it well with the potatoes and make sure it coats very well. [Music] Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and you can drizzle some olive oil. For the crispiest potato, you can brush the baking sheet with some olive oil. That’s the tip. And then place the potatoes and bake 400° Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. [Music] The potatoes are baking. You can shape into ovalshaped kofas and set aside. [Music] After 20 minutes of baking, you can remove the baking sheet from the oven and add the kofas among the potatoes in an even layer. You can even add some cherry tomatoes and sliced capsicums. [Music] You can brush the kofas and the potatoes with the tomato mixture which we prepared before. [Music] You can bake it in the oven for another 30 minutes in 400° fah until the kofas are golden and cooked through. Let’s make the tahini yogurt sauce. Add 1 cup of yogurt. 1 tbsp lemon juice. 2 tbspoons of tahini. 2 to 3 tablespoons of tahini sauce. Salt to your taste. [Music] Chili flakes half teaspoon, pepper powder half teaspoon and cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon and olive oil 1 tbspoon. And you can add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and whisk it well until it’s smooth. [Music] We need to add 2 tbspoon of cream, heavy cream also. and whisk it well. [Music] Spoon the yogurt tahini sauce onto the serving platter. [Music] Once the kofas are fully cooked and the potatoes have softened and are golden brown and crispy, then carefully remove the from the oven and allow to cool slightly. You can top with the roasted potatoes and cough this on top. And then finally, you can garnish with some pine nuts and parsley if you want. [Music] You can serve this immediately.
