Was just at fleet and farm for some other stuff and went to check for deal, couple awesome deals on WSMs in there. Was hoping for. 26” kettle deal but looks like they don’t even stock it.

I’m in Iowa, not sure if this is a corporate thing or location thing, but they had about a dozen 18s sitting around with this double markdown.

  1. Get 2x 18″ and you have 36″ smoking surface for half the price of a 22 😁

18 a hell of a lot more fuel efficient. 22…less aggressive brisket trim

Great deal on great smoker. Mine is 25 years old, I’ve replaced grates, but still smokes.

I’ve been wanting one of these. Would like to up and expand my cooking game

I’m good on my pellet grill and have no complaints with any outcomes, but I’m ready for a second smoker lol

That would be so awesome… I am abroad, and they never go on sale here….. not a real smoker culture, so they are more niche, and proced accordingly.

I bought one of these in the late 90s for $50 at Home Depot. I cut a small hole in the side and added a propane burner to light coals and help regulate the temp.
This thing is a tank and lasted me 25 years

Several years ago (3 or 4?), I went with the 18 over the 22 simply due to price. I decked it out with wheels, stainless steel sealed door, fire basket, Fireboard with the blower…had a lot of fun with it!

That being said…….I wish I’d bought the 22. Great for pork butts, but ribs are a pain to place…I used to have a smoker with plenty of room years back and I just don’t like having to cut the racks up to fit into racks or try to spiral the rack…just no way to keep the racks from touching which “spoils” the bark. It’s a “me” problem!

It is still there, under a cover, ready and waiting, but I just don’t use it anymore. Not sure why…

I kid you not, a couple years back when winter just started, they had five of these marked down to $20 each! I bought all five. That next summer I went to one of the lakes by my house and sold three of them for 150 bucks each. I still have two in storage

18 is where it’s at too! 18 for the win

I like the Pit Barrel Cooker better than the WSM, but $100 is hard to beat.

Oh man, I used to love going to farm & fleet with my grandfather.

Haven’t seen one in 25+ years

  12. $100 is a fantastic deal on the 18”. The only time I use my 22” is to do two briskets or like 6 pork butts at once. The 18” is easier to move and uses less charcoal.

Its just Fleet Farm. There is no ‘and’.

Oof hard to find a better smoker than an 18” WSM for a bird. That’s a steal

I have this smoker, I love this smoker! Great results.
I like to use the thermocell billows with it, keeps the temperature very stable. 100% buy this at this price.

I can’t tell you the amount of hoops we had to jump through to find a WSM 18″ or 22″ a few weekends ago. NONE of the home depot of Lowes carries them anymore in stock. Always a 1-2 day shipping period

  17. DaveBelmont

I see 22s on fb marketplace all the time for about 200

  18. bigcat7373

I thought I lucked out finding one on marketplace today for $75 and looks to be in great shape. Brand new for $100 is a crazy find tho

I need to bring a sharpie to the store

  20. HeadOfMax

Damn. I’m going to be near one for the holiday and will have to check

  21. pharmandy

That’s a tremendous price on an awesome smoker.
