I hear great things about the Searwood and the rotisserie/wing basket accessory(although pricey on accessories). Not sure which size I should get on that one if i got one(xl vs 600).

Ive also heard great things about the build quality/customer service with the Grillas. The 2.0 has better wifi and bigger wheels the AT model. I suppose the regular Caster wheels make it cheaper ($989.98 w/ cover).

I'm looking for opinions on these two pellet smokers. Anyone have experience with both?

I’ve really enjoyed all of my Grilla products. Support is usually great also.

I have got the Searwood 600 and never felt I need the XL. The smaller 600 heats up faster and uses less pellets than XL

  3. Routinely have enough space to feed my family of five on my Searwood 600. Build quality and easy of use are top tier.

Very happy with my searwood xl coming from an old camp chef

Searwood XL is the way i would go. I have the Weber Smokefire ex6. When it comes time to replace it, it will definitely be the Searwood. Mostly because you can go low and slow or get a nice sear on a streak. Multiple uses on hi or low heat. Just my thoughts on your choices.

I’ve heard nothing but good about the Seawood XL. If I had to by a pellet grill tomorrow, it would probably be that one.

I just finished a NY Strip on my Searwood (xl600)about ten minutes ago and since buying it, no matter if I finished a turkey, a steak, a pork butt etc. I always finish thinking, “man I’m so glad I bought this grill”

If you want to sear then sear wood. I’d do xl bc you can always not fill it but you can’t fill it double

Just ordered the Searwood 600. The size really depends on your needs. We have a household of 4 adults and I’ve had a Campchef 24″ for the past 7 years. I’ve never felt that I needed more room. But if you regularly have large get togethers, then go 36″.

Mobility: hands down, the Grilla wins. Kind of silly that Weber fails so hard on casters, or the lack thereof.

Accessories: Weber has more, but nickel and dimes you. Cover, shelves, griddle, all extra. And the cover isn’t great from what others say. The rotisserie on the other hand routinely gets rave reviews, even if expensive.

If you want a more insights, I’d check out this video which compares these 2 and several others:
