I’m not a great cook and don’t have
any experience cooking Korean food (and barely any experience eating it), but I had a bit of kimchi left from a big jar from Costco that seemed pretty well fermented, so I looked up what to do with it and this came up.

I found a recipe, picked up the ingredients from the Asian grocery store (and now have enough anchovy sauce and gochugaru to likely last me a lifetime, lol).

My tuna sunk before I remembered to take a picture, but it’s in the center.

I’m not sure if it tastes like it supposed to, but I thought it was really good. Now I’ll have something to look forward to every time I’m getting near the end of my jar of kimchi.

  1. If it’s tastes good to you, that’s a win!

If you have any Korean restaurants near you, you could try it there to compare how yours tastes. Honestly though, it’s one of those dishes that tastes different in every household. As long as you have the core components, I’d say it’s going to be close enough.
