So the first 2 slides show the same model number in the listings 14-BW (but with a 20 dollar difference) – the third choice has a slightly different model 14-B5 and is 40 bucks less than the highest priced 14-BW.

the listings show the same features and specs, does anybody know the difference between the highest and lowest priced models? Ironically all 3 are sold from the inkbird store, seems kind of shady there are different prices for the same model listed on Amazon

Also Im not 100% sold on inkbird, just weighing all my options. I know lots of folks in this forum swear by thermoworks, I do own a thermoworks instant read (based on recs here) but my 6 dollar instant read pen I had for a few years is within .5-1 degree at both high and low range of my 70 dollar thermoworks.

The first screenshot has more Special Features (alarm capability, etc.)

I think the second one doesn’t have the IPX8 waterproof? Some will be IP67.

I’m in canada so looking at the exact listings is hard. Sorry. My pricing is all out of whack.

Edit: I found the first two listings, but not the third. They do appear to be the same. I assume one is last year’s model and one is a bit more current.

These aren’t being sold by Inkbird directly, just an FYI. The seller is BarbequePlus.

Check out the chef iq probes about the same price on Amazon and in my experience work way better. The app is solid and the connection to the hub has been stable. The probes themselves are within a degree of my thermo works dash and one.

Edit: changed thermo pro to works I get them confused.

Inkbird is junk. I tried 3 different probes and had nothing but problems. Ended up with a temp spike that worked fine for about a year before it shit the bed. Currently on a meater for the last 6 months with no issues so far.

I got the ThermoWorks RFX to replace 4 meater+ probes. Couldn’t be happier.

  5. I have had the 14-bw set for 2 years. They work well and if they act up I just recalibrate in ice water.

The only issue I have is if I’m finishing anything in the over it sometimes disconnects.

Paid $150 Canadian in Sept 2023

Inkbird = Stinkbird. Or shitbird. The sealer i got was exactly what youd expect. Some brand that makes cheap junk.

On my side this one has 30% off :  Save 30% with brand promotion RLXJW8RVLH3L

The cheaper one looks to be the newer version with Bluetooth 5.4. Honestly I don’t care about BT as long as WiFi works.
