    Looks good. Doesn’t look patchy to me so id say its marbling and not steatosis. You’ll have to let us know after you try it

    That’s how all flat iron steak look like. I buy it all the time because it is a cheap cut. I pay $10.99 in my grocery store in NC.

    Flat Iron is my favorite cut. I’m not a fan of sprouts meat and yours is a big reason as to why. Grass-fed? Mmm no. This is grain-fed beef, probably finished so they could say “100% grass fed”. This marbling is consistent to not being grass finished. I don’t even think this is Angus. I eat angus flat iron steak 3 times a week. I had prime angus tenderloin and flat iron today.

    I love flat iron! It’s super versatile. Unfortunately it’s kind of hard to find in my area so when I find some I scoop up a few and freeze em
