It was awful. The stray cat in my neighborhood always sleeps on the doormat outside my door at night waiting to be fed, so I ended up giving all of it to her. I don’t think I’ll ever eat salmon sashimi again.

Agreed. An I’m a full on salmon person, meaning, I catch 20-100 a year and eat them. Ahi is amazing, raw. Even ocean caught king is way better cooked. It’s not you. Salmon sashimi is a fad.

Cat deserved it (and certainly appreciated it), more than you. It’s all good and the way it was probably meant to be. Maybe someday your tastes will evolve to also appreciate the wonderfull-ness of what you formerly, so easily gave up. This time around the cat was an appreciative and deserving recipient of the salmon sashimi and the ama-ebi. Good job!
