Aromas of blood orange, fresh juicy red berries, and subtle redwood forest floor. Sharp, lively, bright. Sunny, coastal Sonoma captured in a bottle. It makes me want to spend more time swirling and taking in the aromas than drinking it. Very enjoyable and easy drinking. This is my second time trying this and looking forward to trying their other offerings. Their Family Blend that I just received from the winery is also in this same vain—so aromatic.

I’ve visited Sonoma County several times (my girlfriend and I love Sea Ranch) from the East Coast and have really enjoyed tasting wines from this area that are evocative of all the amazing smells from the region, and especially the coastal areas. Can’t wait to try their San Andreas and Maritime releases.

43% Hirsch Vineyards (Fort Ross-Seaview AVA); 22% Hellenthal Vineyard (which is contiguous with Block 9 at Hirsch); 35% Charles Heintz Vineyard (Sonoma Coast)

93% of the vines are between 20-30-years old

12.9% ABV

$45

I had all of the same bottles just delivered.

Going to age the San Andreas and Maritime for sure. Do you feel like Bohan Dillon and Family Blend are ready to drink now?

Haven’t had this since 2019 but it’s a nice wine and pretty good value

I like a nice wine with plenty of aromas. Swirling and breathing in the scents are so much of the fun for me.

    And the taste of course.

Raschen Ridge, San Andreas, East Ridge, West Ridge. All great.

Great producer! One of my favourite Cali Pinots. This is also such a great wine for the price, relative to other Cali Pinot. Having tried Hirschs other, higher price point wines, I often find myself drawn back to this wine as it has such good value for what you’re getting. Cheers!

Her 2018 San Andreas is definitely a top5 wine for me. Always quality wine from Hirsch.
