Classic Hummus

Ingredients:
β€’ 1 Β½ cups cooked chickpeas
β€’ 1 garlic clove
β€’ 1 tbsp tahini
β€’ Juice of 1 lemon
β€’ 2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
β€’ 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
β€’ A few ice cubes (to help blend smoothly)
β€’ Cold water, as needed (to adjust consistency)

For Garnish:
β€’ 1 tbsp olive oil (drizzle)
β€’ Pinch of chili powder or paprika
β€’ 3–4 cooked chickpeas
β€’ Fresh coriander leaves

Instructions:
Add chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, salt, cumin powder, and ice cubes into a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth, adding cold water gradually if needed to reach a creamy consistency.
Transfer hummus into a serving bowl.
Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of chili powder, a few whole chickpeas, and fresh coriander leaves.
Serve with warm whole wheat pita bread.
