I don’t know. It’s just trash. I’mma be nice or not. I don’t know what the you are. [Music] Hi, my name is Denika Hood. Hi, my name is Roxy. My name is Richard. And today we’re trying each other’s grilled cheese soup. I’m originally from Houston, Texas. Htown, baby. I am originally from Chicago. I’m from Watson. I learned how to cook in a kitchen by myself. My first experience with cooking is from my father actually. Really, my grandma taught me how to cook. I think the fact that millennials grew up at a time where we had to raise ourselves. As a millennial, my fondest memory of grilled cheese is just like getting one and going to sit down and watch some cartoons. Grilled cheese means nostalgia. Watching, you know, the old cartoons, the old Disney Channel with my sister and just being young. So, I feel that nostalgic feeling. To me, grilled cheeses just mean a simple little meal, something real quick. It’s going to fill me up. I might do two of them cuz I like to eat. All right, let’s try these grilled cheeses. [Music] First, I use my special jalapeno sourdough bread. I just love sourdough bread in general, but when I saw that they had jalapeno, I was like, I got to get it. The cheeses I’m going to be using today, the red hot cheese and a forstate cheddar. And then I have a couple seasonings here. So this is the special cheese, the garlic and herb. And see has herbs on the side. Isn’t that pretty? Oil up my pan. Put some butter in there and caramelize my onions first. I love the smell of onions. Usually I let them cook about a minute or two. And you don’t want to burn the onion. You don’t want it to look black. You just want to caramelize it a little bit, make it a little brown. So, the way I make my grilled cheese is I put mayo outside of the bread cuz it’s going to make the outside nice and crispy and it won’t burn. I like to use a lot of butter. Love it. Love it. Love it. I flipped it on the side with the mayo so that we can make the sandwich. Now, I’m going to put my onions. Start adding my cheese. No preference on which uh cheese. Sprinkle on the garlic cheese. Now, I know my grilled cheese might be a little extra. But that’s what makes a good grilled cheese sandwich. If I’m a little crazy, then my grilled cheese is going to be a little crazy. I don’t play around. And then on the other side, that’s when I like to put my seasonings. I’m black. I love seasoning. I got to have something that tastes good. So, let me put a little garlic powder on here. Put this garlic and spicy seasoning blend. I’m obsessed with cilantro. I have a problem with that, too. I put it on everything. Seasoning salt. Just a little bit. A little bit of the blend. And last but not least, my favorite el cuz I put this on everything. I’m gonna put it on top of the cheese. I love it. I love it. Put this on top. Oo, that’s the crisp right there. All right, let’s plate this up. So, here is my jalapeno, garlic, grilled cheese, and tomato soup. What I do is I boil the soup and then I add all my seasonings, which is the elote seasoning, the garlic seasoning, and the cilantro seasoning, and a little bit of seasoning, salt, and then I also put some grated parmesan in there as well. And that’s my tomato soup. I’m going to win because my sandwich is absolutely tasty, delicious, and flavorful. Beautiful mix of the cheese. Chef’s kiss. Look at that. Beautiful. [Music] What is this gpacho? Oh man. I guess there’s cheese in here that did not melt. Soup doesn’t really have an aroma to it. Is there flavoring in it? We’ll see. Let’s see this a little Let’s see. Okay. What’s that? Okay. Oh, a little garlic. Little little something spread inside. Okay. All right. So, I’m going to try this grilled cheese. Let’s try it. Let me not judge too harshly. It didn’t have no flavor in the beginning, but as the time went on, I want to say garlic or like onion afterwards, like after taste, it start to get good after. Okay. It’s a little crisper than I like, but it’s hidden. Pairing this together, I could see myself eating this, watching recess. One Saturday morning, dip, dip. Boom. We good. I feel like I would watch old UPN with this sandwich. Like, this is we watching Moisha. The cheeses are working well together. It’s not all the way melted as you can see in there. But hey, whose fault is that? The chef. Huh? Let me taste this soup by itself. The soup pissed me off. I’m I love me a soup. This tastes canned. It smell like spaghetti O’s. You coming in here with canned. It’s all right. Let me dip it. Let me dip it. I’m playing around here. But the sandwich is good. I ain’t going to hate on the sandwich. [Music] These two together, I ain’t going to lie, it’s good. Sandwich. Super greasy. It’s hitting though. The flavor is really good. You can’t go wrong with a grilled cheese and tomato soup. So, I ain’t mad at it. All right. Well, sorry to disappoint you. Boom. I said it smell like spaghetti. Paired them together. I’ll give this 8 and 1/2 six. All right. So today I’ll be making my get a man grilled cheese. It has not worked yet. So let’s see if it works. Today I’m starting with milk milk bread. I got three different cheeses. I got Kobe Jack, proolone cheddar, mild cheddar. It’s my first time using mayonnaise, too, on the grilled cheese. So we going to see how this goes. I usually just use butter, but I’mma I’mma do both. These are southern hands. Pan is hot. Okay, so we got our mayonnaise. We’re spreading on one side. So, I’mma actually crisp the inside a little bit, too. I actually took some culinary classes, but I got kicked out because I was stealing. I don’t steal no more. I don’t steal no more. Proalone, I like a mild. So, I tried to get a mix of like different type. The cheddar. Boom. The cheese slices in the store be having like a corn starch on it so it doesn’t melt. Oh, we got a Kobe Jack. Slap it on there. We in heaven. You hear that? Sizzling. Low and slow for the last part to melt it. Sometimes you got to know what to call it. Plate you. So today I brought grilled cheese and I did a tomato soup. And for my soup I put like sundried tomatoes. I did roasted tomatoes. Uh shallots, garlic. Do your soup in the crock pot. A crock pot going to hit every time. Small disclaimer, my soup got lost. And so but we got it now. We found it. I think somebody stole my soup. I think it was a sabotage. It definitely has a lot of cheese, and I like a lot of cheese. Off the bat, this look like some French toast. Soup-wise, don’t smell like nothing. We’ll see how that translates to flavor-wise. Try this side cuz it’s the most cheesiest. Let’s go ahead and get into the sandwich. [Music] This is real classic. It ain’t got no flavor, y’all. The cheese is thick. The bread is nice and buttery and crispy. It’s good. I can’t lie. Damn, that’s a disappointing sandwich right there. This is a very beautiful grilled cheese. I love the garnish. Definitely doesn’t need anything else. It I could eat this alone. I’m eating it alone right now. So, it’s really good. I don’t know. It’s just trash. For the sandwich, I’m going to give this a eight just because it’s just a classic grilled cheese. Nothing special. Four. It’s not It’s not really doing nothing for me. It ain’t talking about nothing. The sandwich trash. [Music] All right. So, today I’m making a grilled cheese sandwich with a twist on it. Don’t worry about it. We’ll get into it. Starting off with that King’s Sweet Hawaiian. This is a staple in the hood. A little something extra spinach dip. Don’t worry about it now. You’re not going to understand it, but once it’s all mixed up together, you’re going to be like, “Ah, see what he did there.” Picayo chicken. A lot of people not doing chicken. You thought it was just a grilled cheese. We just got some Craft American singles. Boom. And then this one, not even craft. This is just the Kroger brand Swiss cheese that you just get from Food for Less. So, first of course, you know, you have to put a base layer of I can’t believe it’s not butter on the bread. I chose to use I can’t believe it’s not butter because it’s what I had in the fridge. We’re doing some spinach dip because once you get all them flavors in there, you going to be like, “Oh, this is different.” Now, I’m going to leave that there. Don’t even worry about it. I’m going to start with the chicken cuz it has to be cooked. So, right now, I’m cutting my chicken up into pieces. Okay. We going to start adding some some flavor. Low sodium low rice pepper crunchy chili chicken chili. Okay, never mind. A regular grilled cheese. That’s not enough. I’m a grown man now, you know. I got to I got to step it up. I stepped it all the way up to this. And now we just adding these tomatoes. Look at these. Look at these. Oh, look. Mix that in there. H. All right. So, I’m not going to lie to y’all. I don’t usually do two cheeses. I’m going to keep it be. I usually do just the craft. You know what I’m going to do? We’re going to split the craft in half. All right. So now we’re going to go ahead and add the chicken. Lay it down. Lay it down. The moment of truth. Go. Now we just let that grill. Let that do its thing. Oh, it’s a little darker than I wanted, but it’s okay. Oh lord, it’s coming apart. Okay. Okay. Well, let’s flip it back. Yes. [Music] Today I brought my cheese delight here with a tomato basil soup. Why did I do this? Cuz I came to win. Duh. I made this sandwich cuz I didn’t want to make a basic grilled cheese. Tomato basil soup. Fun fact, I don’t really like tomatoes. But I got on YouTube and I looked up a recipe and I just blackified it a little bit. Put a little extra in there and boom. I know ain’t anybody going to have a sandwich like this. Everybody else going to have oh some type of buttering substance and then some type of cheese. Me we going ham with it with chicken. And I sat up here with that induction stove and made these sandwiches with love. If that don’t win, I don’t know what I’m doing it for. [Music] I’mma be nice or not. I don’t know. Boy, y’all going to piss me off now. I know. I know. I love you, mother. [Music] Sometimes burnt things are good. So, this looks like like a whole sandwich. It looks like it has meat in it. M. This ain’t a grilled cheese. You made a chicken sandwich. I think I might have to have a taste. I’m going to dip it. Got to dip it. All right. M. Okay. Yeah. I don’t care about the burnt. This is good. That took a hit, though. All right, you saved yourself. What is this? Hold up. Now, maybe I was too hasty. I don’t even taste the burnt. I don’t really taste that much cheese. Like, it’s more like saucy, but it’s really good. The soup is good, too. It compliments it. The soup looks good. This is not Look at the the cassi. Here we go. A chunkier consistency. All right, let me try the soup by itself. Okay. It’s a little I I taste a little kick in there. It’s okay. It’s okay. The soup The soup by itself is okay. Ooh, that’s good. It tastes kind of like a little spicy. Like it’s like a pepper. Kind of tastes homemade. They might have made it from scratch. I’m not getting no soup when I eat it with the sandwich. Let me see some more. Let me stop it. No, I ain’t getting Just pause for a second because I think he cheated. This is a whole sandwich that you get from the Panera. Okay, this is not a grilled cheese. This is not something that a child can make. If we’re rating the sandwich, I would have gave you like a eight, but you burnt that bread to hell. So, I got to give you like 6 and a half. I feel like that’s fair. The soup is amazing. The sandwich is amazing, too. But since it’s not really a traditional grilled cheese, I would have to give it a nine. First of all, I want to thank God for [Music] I won. I knew I would. I came in here ready to win and I came here knowing that I was going to win. So, yay me. I’m that girl. I knew it. I think that the judging was unfair. I feel like I was cheated. Dry ass cheese with dry bread. Am I hating? Absolutely. And I hate you for not letting me win. Thank y’all for watching. [Music]

  2. I make chicken grilled cheese with tomato soup all the time, it still counts as a grilled cheese, you're still grilling it…but his looked like trash…frozen chicken? Gtfoh 😂

  3. HE HAD THE NERVE TO COMPLAIN AND THEN USED FAKE BUTTER? FAKE CHEESE? AND PACKAGED CHICKEN? AND THEN BURNT IT??????

    This isn’t a grilled cheese.

  4. He cheated you shouldn't be able ti add extra ingredients to the actual food being prepared now if he added the salsa and chicken as a side then yea but no😕

  5. Just me. If someone give me grill cheese and tomato soup. They be getting the biggest side eye

  6. I think with the first soup personally I would’ve used a smoked Gouda instead of a sharp cheddar and shallots instead of onions and I wouldn’t have actually added onion to the grilled cheese but just infused the garlic butter with the shallots then I would’ve made a broccoli cheddar soup to balance better with the jalapeño grilled cheese and I for sure would’ve used either a ghost pepper cheese or pepper jack and fresh mozzarella cheese as well

  7. Didnt want to make a basic grill cheese on a grill cheese challenge. I’m tired of yall 🚬

  8. All of them were so nice and fun to watch I loved their attitude! Roxie is so beautiful that it is crazy! I hope they come back

I'm laughing at the comment about millennials, raising themselves as if they were key lash kids. 😂 Gen-x tried to makeup the neglect that happened to them and raised 5th & 6th placed winners 😂 Now that's the joke on everyone which now Gen-z is overly sensitive from the millennials 👀💯 When we all know that was the Gen. X😂😂😂😂 Btw I learned making grilled cheese sandwiches from my mom who left me alone under 10 yrs working a gas stove.

  11. WHY! are we putting onions, PICO DE GALLO??? meat and SEASONING in GRILLED CHEESE??!! it really doesn't need much! Salt and pepper is just fine. (flaky sea salt and coarse black pepper!)

  12. He’s using all of that overly processed stuff. No wonder he is screaming that the other ones don’t have any “fAvOrrrrr” 😒

  13. I’d still consider it a grilled cheese if the meat was ham or turkey but cut up chicken breast? And he barely put any cheese on it!
