I just tried a new Thai restaurant in the loop. It’s called Green Basil Street. I had the chicken pad thai and the chicken satay with peanut sauce. The ingredients are fresh, and I couldn’t get enough. They have homemade desserts, that if I wasn’t full I would’ve gotten. Seriously I’ve never seen crepe cake before and I need to come back to try it. I found out that this restaurant is not a chain and kind by a single owner from Thailand. It’s a must try if you’re in the loop. Fast service during lunch.

I cannot believe these prices downtown Chicago and I’m paying $10 more for every item in where I live
I was curious seeing this place from the Brown Line the other day! Thanks for the review
I’m amazed at how generic this restaurant looks. Truly the average of every Thai restaurant in America.
Pretty basic but if it’s done well then that’s cool. I’m seeing crispy pork belly and that they have a drumstick in a curry, both quality signals imo.

Thanks for this – was in a mood for a Thai
All they’re missing is the mango sticky rice. Looking forward to trying it tho
