8/10 the food pretty good, that bean dip they give you with the chips is addictive, they gave you huge portions for what you’re paying, each plate was $25 and the bill came out to $64 with a beverage, I’d recommend it but I did have a few gripes.
1.) They charge a 4% fee for using a credit card
2.) If you want salsa with your chips or food you have to get up, go the salsa bar and scoop your own cups of salsa and bring it back to your table.
3.) The parking staff was rude, we parked next door behind the massage parlor in a spot designated for the restaurant, the parking lot attendant walked up to us and lectured us about how we should pay attention next time and how we wanted us to park somewhere else, he literally followed us and lectured us until we walked into the front door.
All in all the food was good and I will be returning.

Love S&B. Self serve salsa is a positive to me. Prices are high-ish but it’s generally 2 meals worth.
The credit card fee was instituted somewhat recently, not a fan either.
I’ve been once like 4 years ago and liked the place! Recently moved back to the area and saw prices almost doubled though, which has kept me from going back
First time seeing salsa bar listed as a negative lol
We went there a couple years ago. Food was fine
But the server didn’t tell us about the salsa, and we for whatever reason didn’t think to ask about it despite the name of the place. So service could’ve been better. We didn’t have any salsa bar since we didn’t know
Easily the best Mexican restaurant in the valley
The bean dip is all that, I used to side eye the 4% fee, but once I had their nachos, I didn’t care so good!
why is it that almost every good food spot has some weird/bad parking experience
OP, what is the dish in photo #2?
Love this place. Every dish I’ve had is good and the bean dip is killer.
Get the cream sauce next time
I love the place.
I don’t love the parking, the wait, how crowded it is.
Generally I just don’t go due to those reasons.
My one gripe is the Limited menu. Its either fajitas with chicken and beef or fajitas with beef and chicken. Can’t forget the shrimp
The salsa bar is legendary
Should have told management you almost chose not to eat there due to the parking attendant.
Went for the first time a week ago – was frustrated that all of the prices were clipped out of the menu. Paid much more than we were expecting for some of the dishes. Despite that, it was very tasty.
This was my absolute favorite cheap food spot before COVID. Spicy green burrito with carne asada. It used to only be about $8-9 but now it’s probably $20. You can usually get two meals out of it, especially if you fill up on chips and salsa. Now I might go once a year, usually on Black Friday.
That fee is wild!
Love this place! Haven’t been in years but good food and drinks!
Best sizzling situations in LA damn it. Worth the drive
