







Went back to Epicure during a visit to Paris and wow was it disappointing compared to my last few visits (Epicure WAS one of my go tos in Paris but now reconsidering). The menu has changed quite a bit and the stable items have new accompaniments. Service was great – definitely one of the best in Paris but the food was such a let down
Before the truffle ravioli was divine but this time the dish felt unbalanced and they skimped on the truffle. Some dishes felt over seasoned some under. Apparently they are transitioning chefs who lead the menu creation for both the entrees and dessert. That said compared to last time I found the dessert excellent and better than before

Unfortunately it seems like Chef Frechon had a lot to do with the quality. This was nothing like when I went 3 years ago. It used to be absolutely divine
I went to Epicure after Frechon’s departure and also had an awful time 😔

Is pic 2 a vanilla dessert? Their previous Vanilla from Madagascar is one of the best dessert I’ve had.
