That’s one of those instances where it looks like.the actual worth, quality-wise, is about the error price. I’m guessing the actual price might be mid-teens which would have been a hard pass for me (and even at 8/lb would pass) – but would def grab them at the sub-5/lb price.

I would like to know where people are getting NY strips for this price. In my area they’re wanting 8 to 10 a pound for select sirloin.

People in this sub being snobs. I’m a private chef and almost cook primarily snake river farms and family I cook for gives me a ton of steaks to bring home. Those steaks I would still very much appreciate. 5$ a pound for some ok strips. Come on. Look better than all that hippy grass fed shit in most stores these days.

At a local Italian market, someone put chicken breast $2.99/lb for a 2lb pack on a two-piece ribeye. Was super blessed that day and was just looking at their meats to see what was in stock.

This is what a 3 pack of steaks should cost. Bring back these prices :,(

I will always tell this story:

I went to a local place, got a 10 pound prime rib. The cashier scanned it, it rang up as a package of bacon, $7.99. I told her that wasn’t right. She cancelled the item, rescanned it, $7.99 again. I looked at her, she looked at me and said, “I guess it’s a pound of bacon” and put it in a bag.

    So I got a 4 bone 10 pound prime rib for $7.99.
