Tuna and chicken noodle soup team together with crunchy vegetables for a surprisingly good main dish molded salad.
MYSTERY SALAD
3 pkg. (3 oz. each) lemon-flavored gelatin
1½ cups boiling water
1½ cups chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
3 cans (6½ oz. each) tuna, drained
3 cans (10% oz. each) condensed chicken noodle soup
8-oz. can (2/3 cup) water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1½ cups salad dressing or mayonnaise
1½ cups whipping cream (not whipped)
In large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; cool to lukewarm. Add remaining ingredients; blend well. Pour into 13×9-inch pan. Chill until firm.
