The Apicius Armenia hospitality school in Dilijan marked “Italian Cuisine Week in the World” with a special event dedicated to strengthening Armenian-Italian culinary cooperation. The celebration was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Yerevan and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).

As part of the festivities, Apicius Armenia welcomed professors and students from the prestigious Aurelio Saffi Institute of Florence, who arrived in Armenia through a joint initiative with the embassy and ITA.

A highlight of the event was a unique Tuscan-style dinner jointly prepared by students of the A. Saffi Institute and Apicius Armenia. The collaborative menu blended the finesse of Italian culinary traditions with the warmth of Armenian hospitality, offering a creative taste experience that underscored the educational and cultural value of the partnership.

The event was attended by Alessandro Ferranti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Armenia, along with officials, community representatives, and partners. Guests expressed appreciation for the expanding cooperation between Armenia and Italy in culinary education and cultural exchange.

Katya Bredikhina, Head of Apicius Armenia, emphasized the significance of the initiative:
“This event once again proves that gastronomy is not only about flavors, but also about a dialogue of cultures and values. We are proud that Apicius Armenia is becoming a platform for strengthening international partnerships and nurturing young talent.”

Held in a warm, professional, and inspiring atmosphere, the celebration further highlighted Dilijan’s emerging role as a regional hub for culinary education and international collaboration.
