Just wrapped up this greenhouse and I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out. Built it over a weekend with six friends helping out – definitely couldn’t have done it solo.
I used a guide from wegreenhouse.info and honestly, they were really well done. Everything was clearly laid out and easy to follow, even for someone like me who’s more enthusiastic than experienced with building projects. We made some tweaks here and there based on what materials I already had lying around and a few personal preferences, but the core design was solid.

This is my first greenhouse and I’m planning to focus on vegetables. I know the possibilities are pretty much endless, but I’d love some recommendations from folks who actually know what they’re doing.

I’m in zone 7b, and while I’ve done some container gardening before, this is a whole new ballgame for me. Really excited to maximize this space and would love to hear what’s worked well for you all.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

  1. Leafy greens (chard, rocket, lettuce..), some root vegetables (carrots, radishes, beets), and some creepers maybe like peas or beans.

Id also recommend some herbs (dill, parsley, green onion are easy and tasty)

Whatever they are growing in that greenhouse scene from Frosty the Snowman!

  3. looks like you have a ton of vertical space you can take advantage of, I would do a trellis on the north side of it to utilize any residual direct sunlight not being blocked. Im trying loofah squash and honey dew melons on my tall trellis’ come spring.
