Alpha Community Center holds Christmas food drive

SIDNEY — The Alpha Community Center, located at 950 Childrens Home Road, Sidney, will collect food for their Christmas food drive Dec. 15-17 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Center will distribute the food Dec. 22. They suggested adding one food item each day to a box from Nov. 10 to Dec. 14, which would contain recipes for seven days of meals. The items suggested were egg noodles, SPAM, beef gravy, canned peas, two cans of shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, diced tomatoes, canned chili, alfredo sauce, penne or elbow pasta, canned roast beef, instant potatoes, brown gravy, two cans of peas and carrots, spaghetti, meat spaghetti sauce, cream of chicken soup, peanut butter, jelly, mixed vegetables, crackers, chicken and dumplings, SpaghettiOs, rice, tomato soup, chicken noodle soup, canned tuna, box cereal, box oatmeal, canned fruit, applesauce, macaroni and cheese, cookies, dessert mix and chili packets.
