This will likely prompt raging controversy, but I'm not trolling! This was my delicious breakfast! I usually eat sardines in tomato sauce over cheese toast, but I was out of bread, so today I had the sardines (Jose Gourmet small sardines in tomato sauce, one of my favorites for this application) topped with cheddar without the toast. I put them in the microwave (I'm sure this is also not condoned by some here!) on power 3 until the cheese melted. πŸ˜‹ Who needs bread?

Cheese and fish is a combo I reject 99% of the time. If we were talking about a few crumbs of cotija with the fish and salsa, I’d say you might be onto something. But from my perspective, this is a nope.

Still, keep exercising your free will, OP, and eat what you like. Someone’s got to do it.

I don’t want to say anything about the whole cheese thing, you do you. But I wanted to ponder aloud why on earth do sardines have the sickest packaging designs of any food product? πŸ˜‚

Okay hear me out, try the broiler next time set a rack super close to the element and crisp up the cheese. The contrast works if you have the extra time. Other than that imo its basically a tuna melt with deens.

Done it a few times but im way more into eating my deens with hard dry cheeses.

I love those, it’s one of just a couple tins I get in the full sleeves at this point (it’s basically that and the Fangst trout). Usually over rice for me.

welp, as they say, don’t let anyone yuck your yum πŸ˜‚ I’ve never done melty cheese on deens before, but this actually looks really delicious! dat cheese looks downright luxurious lol

i haven’t tried this particular jose tin, but tiny deens are my favorite so I’ll have to give these a try! ❀️
