Every year, for over two decades, Georgetown’s streets transform into an open-air market that seems straight out of Paris for an entire weekend, with local businesses often offering deals for as much as 75% off!

The iconic event, which started in 2003, brings the community together for a whimsical and fun celebration focusing on supporting local businesses while showing an appreciation for the French way of life.

When is the 2026 Georgetown French Market?

According to the official Georgetown Website, the 23rd edition of the Georgetown French Market will be taking place on the weekend of April 24th, 2026!

This means that the event will run from Friday, April 24th, to Sunday, April 26th, with festivities each day taking place roughly from 11 am to 5 pm.

Georgetown French Market is a one-weekend celebration where the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. closes its streets and converts them into an open-air outdoor market, similar to what you see in Paris in the springtime!

You’ll be able to enjoy French culture, treats, and beverages while taking advantage of some incredible deals and discounts at local shops.

Where does the Georgetown French Market take place?

The event is along Wisconsin Avenue NW between O Street and Reservoir Road in Central Georgetown.

Just about every business near the event will have its doors open with special deals being offered to visitors as part of the celebration.
