Equipo Navazos are a bottler that selects interesting and/or forgotten Soleras in the Sherry area to bottle under their own brand.

The wine averages 25 years of age. It comes from a selection of butts owned by Rainera P. Marín located in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, which gives the wine are more intense Flor and salty profile. This is a late release of these wine in these butts, which were initially selected by Equipo Navazos for release no. 37.
Saca november 2019.

Extremely fragrant, to the point that people passing by the table are remarking on it.

There’s nearly off the charts salinity here, kept in check by oxidative nuttiness. The glycerol that is so present in older Sherries is just beginning to rear its head here, but kept in check. The 18,5% ABV is perfectly integrated. The Albariza shows in typical smokey fashion. Terrific length and concentration.

An extremely elegant Amontillado. It has long been my opinion that Sanlúcar de Barrameda produces the best Sherries and this only confirms that.

As a big sherry lover, Equipo Navazos is hard to beat, tried 6-7 different bottles and all of them are way too delicious, can’t stop buying them as soon as I have an opportunity to do so, and this 95 is one of my favourite of the ones I’ve tried!

Pedantic point but those sherries don’t have extra flor because of the location, that location (San Lucar) just primarily works with flor-focused styles. It is saltier though as you said.
