Celebrating its first Christmas Eve, this Doral newcomer has already earned a loyal following for its warm hospitality and straight-up solid Italian cooking. Husband-and-wife chefs Massimo and Elisabetta Tundo are offering La Cena della Vigilia, a five-course menu inspired by Italy’s Christmas Eve tradition, where seafood takes center stage. Antipasti include seafood arancini and tuna carpaccio with capers and a classic salsa tonnata (a blend of tuna, anchovies, capers, and mayonnaise), followed by risotto with lobster tail, butternut squash, Certosino cheese fondue, and toasted hazelnuts. The main course is salmon wrapped in leeks with pistachios and pink peppercorn. Christmas tree cake, made from pandoro filled with Sicilian flower pastry cream, Chantilly, and almond praline, is an Italian holiday dessert favorite. Diners also start the meal with a welcome glass of prosecco.
