So this is a plant with an interesting story and although I have a couple ideas bout why it ended up like this. It could just be a mutation, but personally I believe it was due to the circumstances I am about to reveal, you be the judge.

So I grew Brazilian Starfish pepper from seeds from #mattspeppers but planted it late in the season.
First year in our house and the area I planted them in the ground in the backyard ended up being really shaded, and when it was only about 3 inches and had only 2 leaves slugs ate it until it had only half a leaf.

I dug it up and put it in a small pot and put it in the sun. It start growing a sucker very close to the earth of the pot, which I thought was curious, so I chopped the whole plant and left only the sucker.

From that point on the sucker grew as the main branch, and not only that, had very strange growth pattern, the stem was flat instead of cylindrical and was made up of tiny strands, as you an see it’s not very large and I think once it finishes branching it will be a very cool miniature pepper house plant.

I would love to see some other people try to replicate it with they own to see if this is really a thing you can replicate with any variety and if so which would be good varieties for it!
