Saw that Emmer (On Harbord east of Bathurst) had a pastrami sandwich as a special today so headed straight there. For a bakery they sure know how to handle meat. Love the roast beef sandwich and patty melt that they regularly offer. Today’s sandwich featured house made pastrami, thickly cut, and served up Reuben-style on marble rye. The beef was nicely spiced with a good amount of fat. The smoke was subtle but lingered wonderfully. Served with great fries and a pickle spear it was $26.50. Definitely not a value combo. But very well made, incredibly delicious and satisfying.
