huge shout out to my tinned fish secret santa – tyler!

i’m so grateful to receive this. ☺️ the package arrived to my work earlier last week but since it was too heavy for me to take home on the subway, i waited until i had the car to take my package home. when i opened the box, i was floored. there were so. many. tins. i had so fun unwrapping them too. thank you so much! this entire package contained “new-to-me” tins. while i’ve been eating tinned fish for awhile, i don’t branch out too often and stick to what i can get easily at the grocery stores. i’m excited to try all of these.

the only one i’ve had before was the fishwife smoked salmon (that was a longgg time ago) which i remember i loved. i was excited to try it again so i decided to have it for dinner last night. the last 2 pics is my rice bowl dinner. now that i’ve had it again, i can definitively say that tin is one of my favorites.

oh yes and the pickles are the cherry on top. i’m a pickle fiend. one of my favorite shops here in city is called “pickle guys”. anything that you can imagine – is pickled.

this was super generous of you and way more than expected. it was such a well curated box – the variety, the quality (the discontinued tin!!) and even the pickles. thank you again, u/tinned_fish_tyler! this was such a fun surprise and i appreciate it more than you know. 🫶
