Written recipe:

Teriyaki Tofu (serves 2-3)
Ingredients:
For the tofu –
450g firm tofu (cubed),
1/3 cup cornflour / cornstarch,
Oil spray (optional).
For the Sauce –
1 tbsp garlic (minced),
1 tbsp ginger (grated),
1/4 cup (63ml) soy sauce,
1/4 cup (50g) packed brown sugar,
1 tbsp (20ml) white vinegar,
1 tbsp cornflour / cornstarch,
1/2 to 1 cup (125ml to 250ml) water (based on sauce thickness preference),
To serve –
Rice,
1 head broccoli (steamed),
1 tbsp sesame seeds,
Method:
1. Cube the tofu, add to a bowl. Pour over the cornflour/cornstarch and toss to coat.
2. Add tofu to the air fryer or baking tray and cook at 200C or 390F for 30 minutes or until crispy, shaking/turning after 15 minutes. Spray with oil to help tofu crisp up (optional).
3. Meanwhile cook the rice and broccoli.
4. Now make the sauce, in a frypan over medium heat and the garlic and ginger and cook stirring for 1 minute.
5. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar and white vinegar and stir to combine.
6. In a small bowl add the cornflour / cornstarch, pour in the water and stir until smooth. Add this to the sauce mixture.
7. Heat the sauce while stirring, the sauce will thicken (add more water up to 1 cup based on your preference).
8. Add the crispy tofu to the frying pan. Stir to coat then serve immediately.
9. Add the teriyaki tofu to a bowl with the rice, broccoli and sprinkle over sesame seeds.
