Thinking about picking up Ridge Three Valleys. For people who enjoy Zinfandel-based blends, how does this one compare? Any food pairings you recommend?

Ridge is one of the greatest producers of Zinfandel of all time. Their blends tend to be less jammy/fruity and more savory earthy. If you like Zin and haven’t had ridge buy one to try (ditto Bedrock)

All I know is that I FINALLY had a Ridge after seeing the hype here for years. Huge disappointment. No one in my group liked the wine. Way too tart, acidic, flat, unidimensional. I either got a bad vintage/varietal, or we have radically different ideas of what a good wine is.

Three Valleys is fine but nothing special. If you really want to experience a Ridge I would spend the extra to grab a Lytton Springs.

Great QPR from a solid producer. One of the wines that really got me started in wine drinking and education. Once I upgraded to Ridge 3 Valleys, I didn’t look back.

Classic classic classic. Vintage to vintage a very consistent wine. Excellent choice,
