A new Italian restaurant has just opened its doors in Calgary, in a very familiar location.
Aurora Italiana is Calgary’s newest Italian joint, offering an escape from city life by transporting diners to the heart of Italy.
Taking over the previous La Dolce Vita spaces upstairs at 916 1st Ave. NE, Aurora has been transformed into a Tuscan dream with hand-painted murals, inspired by Botticelli, soft textures and warm tones.
The Bridgeland restaurant offers a concise menu of antipasto such as olives, burrata, and calamari, alongside Italian favourites, including everything from fresh pasta carbonara, gnocchi, and risotto to braised beef short rib, veal parmiagana, and lamb shank.
Aurora Italiana is open for dinner service on Tuesday through Sunday, starting at 4 p.m.
