I haven’t been to Asanebo for about 6 months but it’s still as amazing as ever! Sadly Chef Tetsuya wasn’t present for my recent dinner but having served by him before, I know he has an amazing staff to take the helm when he’s not around! Chef Hyu served me last night and he did an exceptional job!

I ordered a variety of nigiri, rolls, and dishes to experience items haven’t before. Everything is simply outstanding. Fresh fish, perfect rice, delicious sauces and flavors that don’t overpower one or the other.

Nigiri Plate: this was actually my last dish and I asked Chef Hyu to choose his five favorite pieces. He served me with Uni, otoro, yellowtail, shima aji and Ono.

Individual Nigiri: Hotate (scallop), tai, Kinme, and Koji salmon (one of the best salmon you’ll ever eat)
