Nowhere near as good looking as most of what you guys post on here. But this has to be one of the fastest, tastiest and cheapest dishes you can make!

Spaghetti alla Puttanesca is a traditional Italian pasta from Naples that’s quick to put together from pantry staples. If you have canned tomatoes, garlic, olives, anchovies and capers in your cupboard, you can knock out this simple but flavourful sauce in a flash. It’s a stellar emergency meal everyone should know, with a “saucy” backstory of its own!

    Lovely

  2. Sorry guys. Obvious one, but:

    Fresh Spaghetti
    Spoonful of capers
    Spoonful of olives
    One red chilli
    Couple garlic cloves
Half a can of San marzano chopped tomatoes
    3 small anchovy filets
    Olive oil
    Salt and pepper
    🙂

I love this dish and use the same recipe as you (plus a bit of dried oregano).
But once in a while I leave out the anchovies, even though I normally love them, just to let the other ingredients shine.

Apparently this is the Neapolitan version of puttanesca. I was skeptical at first but now I sometimes prefer it this way.

    Give it a try!

I didn’t even like capers and olives until I learned to make this.
