Wife had a long day, I got back from work before her, so I did my best to give her something sweet to come home to. I know I’m not the best and this was only my first try but I think it taste amazing, house smells great too as a bonus 😂. How do you think it looks finished?

  1. This doesn’t look good. Maybe you should let me properly dispose of this. And I’ll take some ice cream to aid with its disposal.

  2. I’d be happy with that. Nothing look burned and a cobbler is NEVER going to be even on top.

One thing I’ve learned about baking this year is that there’s very little correlation between taste and appearance.

    I’m sure she loved it

You have my toddlers approval, they just asked for some and got mad that I didn’t make it 😂

It looks great! It could be a smiiidge browner, but I come from a family who was called “hash browns well done” by a local server because we love the GBD

You know love is not a feeling, it’s a verb. Keep it up! ✨

Yum!! Looks just like the peach cobbler my dad would make when I was little, all ya need is some vanilla ice cream! Peaches are soooo good.

I hope you’re appreciated because this is an incredibly thoughtful gesture.

    Also it looks great.

lol It looks like a map! You could add dollops of whip cream for mountains, and sprinkles for towns. And toothpicks with name tags, and name each region after things you know would make her giggle. A few peach slices on top of the open areas for boats 🤔

I made my first apple cobbler from scratch on Thanksgiving and I was looking over my husband’s shoulder (being nosey) while he was texting his Mom, and I saw he’d sent a picture of my cobbler to her that said this is what (my real name) baked for Thanksgiving. It’s not bad.. It was actually pretty good lmfao 😂😂

Kudos to you for the cobbler and for trying to cheer your wife up!!

Like I tell my husband when he does something awesome, “You done earned yourself another day, sir!”

Meaning he earned another day to be with me. It’s an endearing joke between us.

Great job!! This is how you show real love.

This is my ideal cobbler look! I like when it’s all rustic and uneven. You get different textures btwn the cobbler crust and caramelized fruits that way!

Cobbler, pies uglier but far more delicious cousin.

Since my girlfriend doesnt like hot fruit, I’ll often make several single serving cobblers in 8oz ramekins and freeze them. Blueberry is my favorite.
