Original recipe below, I added 1 sliced white onion to the bottom of the crockpot and put a package of chopped mushrooms on top of the beef before covering with the wine/soup mix. I chose a California cabernet for the wine.

Ingredients
• 2 pounds cubed stew meat
• Flour, for dusting (1/3 cup or less)
• 1 tablespoon oil
• 1 packet onion soup mix
• 1 can golden mushroom soup
• 1 can cream of celery soup
• ½ cup water or ½ cup red wine (optional)

Directions
1. Dust cubed stew meat lightly with flour.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet and brown the beef.
3. Transfer browned beef to a slow cooker.
4. In a bowl, combine golden mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, onion soup mix, and water or wine.
5. Pour mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
6. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6–8 hours.
7. Serve over cooked noodles.
