Brand new slow cooker, noticed these blemishes where you can see underneath the glaze, is this safe or should I send it back?

    It’s fine.

  2. It’s fine, but if you can get it replaced for free I would – you should be getting a proper quality product.

I feel like if food goes up that high on the pot you’ve got other problems

I bought a crockpot like 2 years ago that has these same defects. They are in the pot so food would be exposed. It’s too late for me to return it and I’ve been debating getting a new one. Just adding my comment to say you’re not alone and it seems like quality has gone downhill. Curious what others here think.

Yes, it’s perfectly safe, and totally normal for bits like that on ceramic pots. Also much higher than any food would go anyway.

You know, at first I thought you were being overly cautious and worried about little things. But then I considered quality. If this is brand new and you paid hard earned money for it, I suggest that you return it. It looks like poor quality to me.
