If you recently bought shredded cheese for that next meal, you might want to reconsider eating it.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration upgraded a recall on shredded cheese sold in 31 states to a Class II recall recently due to the cheese being contaminated with metal fragments.

A Class II recall “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences,” according to the FDA’s website.

Where were the shredded cheese products sold?

The shredded cheese products were sold at Aldi, Target, Walmart and other grocery stores in 31 states.
