I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but I learned a lot of how I learned how to cook from watching Chopped all the time. And so before I ever made risoto, I assumed it was like the hardest thing to make in the world because if you’ve ever seen Chopped, you know that making risoto is like a cardinal sin on that show. In reality, it’s actually super easy to make risoto and it just takes about 30 minutes of constant stirring, which is why it’s not great for a game show. This is goat cheese risoto. I relate to this strongly, I too learned a lot about cooking from chopped and would shake my head whenever anyone said they were doing risotto
Risotto sounded harder to make than any French pastries I could think of after that show 😂

I made risotto once, give my 3 yo son, myself and my ex husband food poisoning 🤦🏻♀️ I trained as a chef, too! 😂😂 i was so ashamed oc myself, but I've never made it since 😅

I still play Chopped at the end of every month out of my dwindling pantry 😂
It's only a sin because the rounds in chopped are max 30 minutes & you can't rush a risotto haha
