Baked Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

* 1 medium cabbage
* 300 g ground beef
* 1 tea glass rice
* 1 tea glass bulgur
* 1 large onion
* 5–6 cloves garlic
* Half a bunch of parsley
* 1 red kapia pepper
* 1 tbsp tomato paste
* 1 tbsp pepper paste
* ½ tea glass olive oil
* 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 tsp cumin
* 1 tsp chili flakes
* 1 tsp paprika
* ½ tea glass water

For the Sauce:

* 1 tbsp butter
* 1 tbsp tomato paste
* 2.5 cups water
* Salt

Preparation

Remove the core of the cabbage and place it into boiling water with lemon juice. Turn it on both sides and boil for 3–4 minutes, then separate the leaves. Trim the thick veins with a knife.

Place the ground beef, rice, chopped onion, garlic, chopped red pepper, and grated tomato in a bowl. Add the tomato paste, pepper paste, olive oil, pomegranate molasses, salt, cumin, chili flakes, and paprika. Mix well.

Cut the cabbage leaves to suitable sizes, add the filling, roll them tightly, and place them in a baking tray.

Melt the butter, sauté the tomato paste, then add water and salt. Pour the sauce over the rolls.

Cover the tray and bake in a preheated 200°C oven for 40 minutes. Check if the cabbage and filling are cooked. If they need more time and the top is browned too much, move the tray to a lower rack and bake for another 10 minutes.

    * 2,5 su bardağı su
    * Tuz

    Yapılışı:
    Lahananın orta kısmını çıkarıp limon sıkılmış kaynayan suya bırakın. Her iki tarafını çevirerek 3–4 dakika haşlayın ve yaprakları ayırın. Damarlı yerlerini bıçakla inceltin.
    Kıyma, pirinç, doğranmış soğan, sarımsak, kapya biber ve rendelenmiş domatesi bir kaba alın. Üzerine salça, zeytinyağı, nar ekşisi, tuz, kimyon, pul biber ve kırmızı toz biberi ekleyip iyice karıştırın. Lahana yapraklarını uygun boyda kesip iç malzemeyi koyarak sıkıca sarın ve tepsiye dizin.
    Tereyağını eritip salçayı kavurun. Su ve tuz ekleyip karıştırın, sarmaların üzerine dökün.
    Tepsinin üstünü örtün 200 derecede ısınmış fırında 40 dak pişirin. Lahanaları ve içini kontrol edin piştiyse alın pişmediyse ve üstü çok kızardıysa aşağı rafta 10 dakika daha pişirin. Afiyet olsun🤗

  2. I learned from a video: freeze the cabbage and if it thaws you can remove the leaves easily. It really doesn't make a difference in taste but they ate much easier to handle
