New to pickling. Got some floaty stuff (not the pickling spices) do you think they’re still ok, or should I bin them?

Is this a pickle you’re keeping in the fridge?

Further info, I soaked the onions in boiling water for 10mins, peeled, top and tailed them. Sterilised the jars with boiling water from the kettle. Then popped the peeled onions in, added the pickling spices and filled the jar with malt vinegar. Sealed them up and stored them in the garage. It has been cold this last month, so the garage has been cold also.

In the photos I’ve circled the bits I’m questioning, they seem like little cloudy blobs.

These were pickled onions the 12/11/25

I thought this was the CJ group and that was a jar of golf balls at first.

Is that an onion? I hope so because my other idea was cow eyeballs.
