Had the privilege of drinking a Viña Todonia Gran Reserva for only €145 in a restaurant! I mostly drink white Rioja, but this was a treat.
Tastes like a mixture between Burgundy and Barolo with quite defined tannins but a lot of red fruit even with the age. I normally don't drink oaky wines but this was very well integrated to really add something instead of masking the fruit. Flavours of intense raspberry, vanilla, spices, very complex nose and taste, extremely long finish. Probably one of the best reds I've ever drunk!

I know a tortilla from el Xampanyet when I see one. Great taste, hope you tried the anchovies
Indeed the best season to visit the city
Their champagne list is the best kept secret in Barcelona, no one expects it and it’s easily one of the best I’ve ever seen.
